Tom Cathey
Manager, Florida Region

Tom Cathey joined RMS in September 2006 as Manager of the nearly 360,000 acre ownership on the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama. Tom brings over 25 years of forestry experience with Champion and International Paper in areas including field operations, research, organizational development, wood procurement, land sales, and management. He held the position of Region Land Manager with Champion in the Western Florida Region at the time of the merger with IP. After leaving International Paper he served three years in various positions with the Florida Division of Forestry. Tom earned a BS degree in English from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Forest Resources degree from the University of Georgia. He is a Registered Forester in North Carolina.
