Mike Hamilton
Manager, Texas Region

Mike, a former International Paper forestry manager, joined RMS in 2006. Now, he oversees forest management for RMS clients in East Texas. Mike started his career in 1976 with Champion International Corporation as a woods technician. His 24 years with Champion featured a variety of supervisory and managerial assignments, including Texas Region Support Manager, Texas Region Roads and Regeneration Manager, District Land Manager, and Western Operations Timber Security Manager covering Washington, Texas, Florida, and North Carolina. Mike served as Timber and Forestry Operations Manager for the Huntsville area's 350,000 acres of forestland prior to the IP takeover. He later worked as Unit Team Leader for IP’s Trinity and Livingston units. Mike received his B.S. in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University at Nacogdoches, Texas, with a specialty in Biology Wildlife Science.
