Joey Ferguson
Manager, South Carolina Region
Part of the RMS team since November, 2006, Joey is based in Georgetown, South Carolina, where he serves as Region Manager for our South Carolina properties. He launched his career as a forester in 1978 with Union Camp Corporation in Franklin, Virginia. Over the next two years, Joey held various UC posts in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, including District Supervisor for wood procurement and District Manager in charge of forest management operations. He moved to Georgetown after UC's acquisition by International Paper. He managed such activities as wood procurement, forest operations, land transactions, forest productivity, GIS, inventory systems, and TIMO accounts for IP’s Mid-Atlantic Region. Today, he directs management of 270,000 acres in eastern South Carolina. A Registered Forester in both the Carolinas, Joey is a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters and a Prescribed Fire Manager with the State of South Carolina. After earning his B.S. in Forestry Management at the University of Tennessee, he received his M.B.A from Campbell University.
