Hanmin Dong
Director, China
Hanmin joined RMS in January 2010 after a diverse career in forest product management and consulting. He will be responsible for oversight of all RMS investment activities in the Peoples Republic of China. Working closely with the RMS team, Hanmin will develop and execute timberland acquisition and management strategies in China’s fast-growing forest plantation and wood products markets. Prior to joining RMS, Hanmin was engaged with RMS on a consulting basis to identify and engage acquisition opportunities in Southern China. Previously, Hanmin spent 18 years with International Paper in both the technical research and China business development and management arenas. Hanmin is a Chinese native and obtained his Bachelor’s of Forestry degree in Wuhan, China. He came to North America in 1983 and completed a Master’s degree at University of British Columbia and a Ph.D. at Texas A&M University.
