Bruce Easton
Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Bruce joined RMS in early 2008 after more than three decades in the plantation forest industry in Australasia. Here, he works to expand the international portfolio in the Asia Pacific Region, focusing on New Zealand and selected Asian countries. Bruce has excelled in the managing of both plantations and wood processing activities. He oversaw Carter Holt Harvey Forests – New Zealand's largest forestry enterprise -- involving 120 staff, 2,500 contractors, over 800,000 acres of timberland and the supplying of 5 million tons of wood products to 120 customers in New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and the US. Bruce spent a number of years as the Hong Kong-based Director of Strategy for International Paper and Carter Holt Harvey. He directed business development and acquisition activities in the Russian Far East, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. A professionally trained New Zealand forest ranger and forester, Bruce has completed post graduate studies in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury, Resource Management at Lincoln University and Financial Management with the New Zealand Institute of Management.
